Before Laying

Make sure that the substrate is adequate for the intended use of the floor , especially when heavy loads are expected to pass. Provision should be made for the insertion of expansion joints, necessary in the case of large surfaces, respecting the structural joints of the building.

Do not immerse the material in water before laying. Spread about 3-4 square meters of material on the ground, taking the tiles from different boxes to check the overall effect .

Installation & Maintenance

The laying of tiles can be made either with adhesives that with cement mortar, using minimal leakages of 2-3 mm and making use of spacer crosses. In the case of laying with the glue system, suitable for places subject to high traffic or the passage of heavy loads, the surface must be perfectly flat to allow the tiles to anchor properly .

For the choice of the adhesive and for its application, strictly follow the manufacturer's instructions . Lay the material from multiple boxes to mix them.

Cutting & Drilling

For particular workings it is necessary to use suitable and professional tools, checking their cutting capacity beforehand and replacing them if worn out by excessive use. For precise cutting, use the wet cutter or engraving tile cutter. To drill it is necessary to use a water mill for porcelain stoneware.

Cleaning After Installation

After laying and grouting, the floor must be carefully removed to remove any residues. It is necessary to wash a few square meters at a time, using any descaling detergent, with the exception of products containing hydrofluoric acid as required by standard EN 14411, suitably diluted in water; then rinse several times with clean water removing the residual water with a vacuum cleaner.
